ABOUT SSO™ TRAINING CERTIFICATE RETREAT

What does SSO™ mean or stand for?

SSO™ is an acronym for Sublucidas, Somnus, Ortos.

Sublucidas is sub-lucidity and beginning of the altered state of consciousness, paired with changes in breathing, changes in light and visions, some see stars, and talking reduces.

Somnus is sleep - referring to the mythical sleep-like state and Otherworld journeying, associated with deep sub space driven by the body's natural opoid activation, often experienced as floating above or leaving the body.

Ortos is the raising / the sunrise, metaphorically the rebirthing of the submissive with care.

 

Why is this such an important area of BDSM and Dominatrix practices?

Amongst senior Dominatrices, this is THE most practised specialization that sustains their livelihood and craft profession into senior years, as well as practiced and enjoyed by lifestyle Mistresses. It requires great skill, knowledge and care, and is much sought-after by clients and for long sessions of often 3 hours, and is thus supporting their career and ensuring long-term clientele continue to seek them out. If there's one domain I think Mistresses should most prioritise acquiring advanced knowledge in - it's this.

However, as it suits long sessions to get subs / clients into these deep states (eg 2.5 - 3 hours), it also needs hours to practice getting subs into these states. So it's been in the planning for many months - to run as a multi-day training, both with expensive advanced equipment that dungeons have; and simpler portable equipment that you could transport in a duffle bag or suitcase.

What does the course include?

 

The SSO™ Training Certificate Retreat course is "All inclusive" of the training, equipment pack, course materials booklet, accommodation, use of specialist equipment brought in for purpose, cleaning and hygeiene sprays, all meals, snacks and drinks.

You need only bring.... yourself! (And a sub if you're planning on coming as a D/s couple) And whatever clothing you wish to bring, personal toiletries such as toothbrush, etc.

 

PREREQUISITE - Seven Realm Arts™Certificate Course or other similar level experience

This course requires some prior experience, foundational level training (such as the Dominatrix Seven Realm Arts certificate course is ideal) which includes familiarization with scene negotiation, safewords and consent protocol, etc.

Sunday 19th May 2024 - MELBOURNE CITY, SECRET CHAMBERS

INDUCTION, THEORY, THE MYSTERIES, COURSE PACK

11 am - 1 pm Anne O Nomis will be welcoming students of the SSO™ Training Certificate Retreat course in her Melbourne Secret Chambers. Qualified as an archaeologist and art historian, as well as in Dominance studies, she will be going through the relevance of SSO Training in relation to:

 

• SSO practices in the longevity of professional Mistress's careers and long-term lifestyle practices

• The space of surrender and how it fits in with BDSM terms like "sub space"

• Practices of "the Mysteries" in ancient religion and archaeological evidence for Sublucidas / Somnus states; from Inanna's Descent to the Underworld losing one power (mes) at each gate, to ancient Maltese Goddess temple artefacts, Eleusian Mysteries and Aphrodite rituals and dripping "koma" (sleep), and to the Villa of Mysteries in Pompeii.
• Navigating surrender spaces on The Ki; entry points from Western access (the Pleasing Way), the Eastern access (the Contrary Way); and the Portal Access (via Mutare).
• Anecdotal challenges to each.
